Hey Y’all!
I’m Kristi and I’m the owner and lead planner of Kristi Cassidy Weddings + Events, based in Louisiana! My husband, Charles, and I live in our hometown of Jennings, and we recently became new parents to our sweet baby boy, Jonah!
I’ve now been a solo planner for over two years. Before this, I had years of experience in the wedding industry while living in Arkansas. I worked with one of the most reputable wedding planners in the state, and was the event coordinator at a notable event venue and winery in Northwest Arkansas, overseeing the planning of 200+ events of various celebrations.
My favorite part about wedding days is seeing all of the hard work put in with the couple come to fruition. Seeing their faces as they take in the fully set up ceremony and reception spaces, and seeing the love in their eyes and how happy they are with everything, is a feeling like no other. How special it is to get to experience this most amazing season of life with the bride and groom and finally make it to their wedding day - talk about happiness (and relief)! I'm also a sucker for intimate First Looks between the bride and groom - gives me all the butterflies and heart eyes!
When I have free time, you can usually find me at home with my family, curled up watching our latest Netflix binge with a glass of wine. My hobbies include jogs around the neighborhood while listening to a podcast (my current go-to is Armchair Expert with Dax Shephard), making yet another inspo tab on Instagram, or finding ways to better our home. I’m also a big fan of DIY projects - my husband and I have recently undertaken a fixer upper and have been loving the process! I love brewery hopping and wine tasting and my guilty pleasures include house plants, The Bachelor franchise and ALL things organization. Give me all the pantry containers and baskets, please! Oh and coffee, always coffee.
